Education Welfare Officer
Halton Education Welfare Service require an enthusiastic and self-motivated Education Welfare Officer to work as part of a team to help improve school attendance.
You will work closely with schools, parents and other professionals, implementing a variety of strategies aimed at improving school attendance. You will have experience of working with children, young people, and their families, as well as experience of working with schools and settings to resolve issues preventing regular school attendance.
The ability to engage, motivate and bring about change is essential, as is the ability to listen to the young person’s voice. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will demonstrate a commitment to equality of opportunity and an inclusive school environment.
You will be part of a supportive team based within the Education Welfare Service based at Rutland house, Runcorn.
