Full Time: 12-month fixed term contract.
About us
The borough of Sefton is in north Merseyside within the Liverpool City Region.
Sefton has a distinctive historic environment with over 560 Listed Buildings and 25 Conservation Areas covering a wide range of building ages and types. The Conservation & Heritage team are based within Planning Services and the work is both challenging and rewarding, being central to maintaining the distinctiveness of Sefton’s towns and villages to ensure that these areas continue to be desirable places to live, visit and work.
We have been successful in attracting National Lottery Heritage Funding for our townscape heritage project for Southport and we also face major challenges in relation to Heritage at Risk which we are currently addressing.
Job requirements:
The post is an internship based within the Conservation & Heritage team.
The successful candidate will support the functions and delivery of the team as well as receiving on the job training and mentorship. You will be required to complete the course during the 2024/25 academic year. At the end of the fixed term, with the experience and qualifications achieved, you will be ready to embark on a career in the field of Conservation. Those who already have a postgraduate qualification in Conservation need not apply.
