Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Internal Audit team as a Principal Auditor. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of audit assignments, providing assurance on risk management, governance, and internal controls across the Council. Our Internal Audit Team plays a critical role in ensuring robust governance, managing risk, and maintaining effective control systems within Sefton Council.

Proven experience in Internal Audit, with a strong track record of managing a wide range of audits.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary: £45,718 to £48,710 per annum
Work Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Leave Entitlement: 28 days per annum, increasing to 33 days after 5 years of service
