Fixed term (2 years from post commencement)


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated individual to join our busy Housing Standards Team. This is a career graded post with the opportunity to access ongoing learning and development opportunities including L4 apprenticeship training, enabling the post holder to achieve competency in a wide range of Housing Standards and enforcement duties.

The post will require the successful applicant to work with vulnerable tenants, landlords and a range of agencies in order to ensure compliance with housing standards and HMO licence requirements.

The ideal applicant will have a background knowledge of housing standards and management issues and the commitment and enthusiasm to undertake wider Housing Standards related training as required. Progression to the higher salary band will be subject to completion of training and skills / competency assessment.

This post would suit existing / newly qualified Housing practitioners looking to extend their housing knowledge and experience.

This role allows for hybrid working, combining working from home with access to an agile work hub and the undertaking of site visits and inspections of properties across the borough.
