The Role:

Liverpool City Council is recruiting a Transformation Portfolio Resource and Capability Manager (fixed term for 12 months) within the Council’s Transformation Team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective resourcing processes for key transformation programmes and projects.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives are properly staffed and resources are aligned with portfolio priorities, collaborating with senior management, Business Partners and Programme Managers to review resource requests 
  • Address forthcoming resource gaps through recruitment or short-term solutions
  • Develop skills and capabilities across the team to meet portfolio and team development needs
  • Assist in preparing the team’s business plan
  • Line manage some junior staff within the team
     

This role is vital for successful delivery of the transformation portfolio.

Applicants should have experience in project, programme or portfolio management, resource planning, staff development, have strong interpersonal skills, and preferably line management experience.
