Enhancing Domestic Abuse services and Violence Against Women and Girls and responding earlier is a key priority
As a specialist in Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls you will be a subject expert and support the Council and the wider partnership to ensure the workforce are equipped to respond to those experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse and Violene Against Women and Girls.
Learning from the user voice experience, multi-agency learning reviews/research, you will design, develop and deliver training packages, share, and embed best practice and raise awareness of Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
You will work closely with internal colleagues within the Community Safety Service, and the wider council, as well as external partners to improve our response to Domestic Abuse and VAWG in Knowsley. The role will also directly engage with victim/survivors of Domestic Abuse and VAWG local community groups, and children to ensure our strategies and services are co-produced.
As the post involves working with adults with care and support needs who are at risk of abuse or neglect, the interview will explore and include:
- Accountability, by making sure you can answer for your actions or omissions.
- Promotion of the ability to uphold the privacy, dignity, rights, health and wellbeing of adults
- Working in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate services
- Communication, in an open, and effective way to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of adults who use services
- Respect for a person’s right to confidentiality, where safe to do so
- A willingness to undertake professional development
- The ability to uphold and promote equality, diversity and inclusion
