KNOWSLEY TOWN COUNCIL 
VACANCY: CARETAKER/HANDYPERSON (PART-TIME) 


Knowsley Town Council is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join the Council as a 
part-time Caretaker/Handyperson. 

This is a practical and varied role supporting the safe, secure and effective operation of Town 
Council buildings and facilities. 

Position: Caretaker/Handyperson 

Hours: 25 hours per week, including evening and weekend work as required 

Hourly Rate: £14.01 

The post holder will also be required to participate in a monthly out-of-hours call-out rota in 
response to building alarm activations when Council buildings are closed. 

Key Requirements 

• Must hold a current, clean driving licence and have access to own transport. 
• Must be willing and able to participate in a monthly out-of-hours emergency call-out 
   rota. 
• The successful candidate will be subject to satisfactory references and a medical 
   examination.
