Teaching Assistant (TA3)

Crosby High School, is a Local Authority 175 place SEN school for pupils aged 11-16 with moderate to complex learning difficulties. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant from 1st June 2026. The position will either be supporting learning in a Base Class (primary model) or supporting one subject across the whole school (secondary model- please state your preferred subject to support).

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for developing children’s interests and learning.
  • Have an understanding of dealing with challenging behaviour.

Experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable. We are looking to appoint someone with strong communication skills who recognises the role of the TA3 is strongly linked to removing barriers for learning for our pupils. We are looking for someone who demonstrates a passion in relation to the education of pupils with Special Educational Needs. We are looking for someone with a passion to support and develop a particular NC subject area or Base class learning. Strong skills in either of these areas would be desirable.
