Qualification - Level 2 Horticulture Operative

Hours - 36 hours

Fixed term - 28 months

Salary - NMW plus 3% age dependent (breakdown per age group     as below)

  • Age 16-17               £ 15,017 per annum          (£   8.00 per hour)
  • Age 18-20               £ 20,367 per annum          (£ 10.85 per hour)
  • Age 21+                  £ 23,859 per annum          (£ 12.71 per hour)

 

Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career.  The programme provides work-based training to those who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.

Green Sefton are looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice who is committed and motivated to complete the 28 month programme.

Your main duties will include routine maintenance activities such as grass cutting, cleansing of litter, shrub and hedge maintenance, seasonal bedding, path sweeping and supporting Community groups, to provide a high quality of maintenance to Sefton’s green spaces.

The post will be based at Hesketh Park Depot, Park Rd, Southport PR9 9LA.
