We are seeking an experienced and committed Senior SEND Caseworker to join our Education and Inclusion Service and play a key leadership role within our SEND team.
This is a varied and rewarding post for an established SEND professional with strong knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and extensive experience of statutory SEND casework. You will manage and supervise a group of SEND Caseworkers, providing day‑to‑day leadership, professional guidance and quality assurance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will also manage a complex caseload, act as a point of escalation for disputes and complaints, and prepare cases for mediation and tribunal where required.
Working closely with children, young people, families and multi‑agency partners, you will ensure statutory processes are delivered to a high standard, within timescales, and in line with legislation and best practice. The role includes deputising for the SEND Team Manager, contributing to service improvement, and supporting team development through supervision, training and performance management.
