Knowsley Council is looking to recruit an outstanding permanent Director to help drive the next phase of our ambitious transformation and make a lasting difference to the lives of our residents.

Director of Education and Inclusion

This role carries responsibility for shaping high-quality, person-centred services, strong partnership working, and sustained improvement across complex systems. This post will sit at the heart of Knowsley’s commitment to delivering the very best outcomes for children, young people, families and communities and providing support to the DCS in their statutory role acting as their deputy.  At the heart of the role is a belief that strong trusted relationships, with residents, partners and colleagues are the most powerful driver of sustainable improvement and better outcomes.

About You

You will be an experienced senior leader with a strong professional background, a track record of driving improvement and assurance, and the credibility to influence at local, regional and national level.  Most importantly, you will share our values, ambition and commitment to inclusion, collaboration and public service.  We are looking for a leader who is genuinely committed to co-production, working alongside people wit lived experience and our wider communities as equal partners in designing and delivering services
