The role:
- The Assistant TCR Portfolio Manager will provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient support service to the Portfolio and Programme Management professionals working within the Transport for City Regions (TCR) Portfolio team/functions
- The role will contribute to ensuring that all projects and programmes are supported with respect to applicable governance, reporting and project controls – utilisation of SharePoint and adherence to Sustainable Transport, Highways & Parking (THP) project filing and administration and regular reporting formats and deadlines / milestones
- The role will primarily support, with focus on project management, collaboration, scheduling and administration, being integral part of the TCR Portfolio Management team
- The role will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and Director to monitor, challenge and ensure adherence to associated programmes of works to be delivered to time, cost and quality, supporting engagement with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure success
- In the role you will be directly responsible to the TCR Portfolio Manager and the Programme Directors for the various programmes of works being delivered (2026-2032) on this circa £240 million portfolio of works
- Your demonstrable knowledge to supporting the organising of both internal and external meetings, workshops and events, for the engagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all parties are kept informed and meetings and outcomes suitably documented
This position is a fixed-term appointment funded through TCR and is expected to conclude after 24 months.
