The role:
- This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a senior leadership role shaping the future of Liverpool’s market service. We are seeking a visionary, operationally astute leader to join our innovative markets team, leading on all operational elements of our markets offer across some of the most iconic sites and events in the city
- As Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining driving excellence in market / event delivery and ensuring uncompromising standards of safety and service. This is more than an operational role it’s a chance to lead transformation, inspire a team, support local and independent business, and influence how Liverpool’s market service thrives now and in the future
- In the role of Market Operations Manager you will provide strategic leadership for all operational aspects of market operations, setting the benchmark for operational excellence, budget management, market event management and compliance as well as lead and develop high-performing teams, including Market Operations Supervisors, Market Operatives, Market Licencing and Admin Officer fostering a culture of accountability and innovation
- The Operations Manager will shape operational frameworks, implementing robust Standard Operating Procedures, training programmes, and resource strategies to future-proof service delivery and take accountability for the operational, planning, execution and on the day delivery of market events ensuring the safety of all those visiting and taking part
- As the Market Operations Manager you will champion health & safety governance, risk management, and business continuity planning across the entire markets offer alongside markets licencing also act as the senior liaison for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and exceptional experience on site and via all aspects of engagement and drive sustainability initiatives, technical oversight, and operational resilience to meet evolving industry standards
