Our Team:
Madeline McKenna is a 23-bed residential care home in Widnes, providing high-quality care and support to residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We are seeking a hardworking, compassionate, and reliable Cook to join our team. This is an important role within the home, ensuring that residents receive nutritious, well-balanced, and enjoyable meals that meet their individual dietary needs and preferences.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety within the kitchen, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene requirements, and environmental health standards.
Hours: 33 per week
Your Contributions:
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, safe, and hygienic at all times.
- Manage food stock, storage, and rotation to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
- Maintain accurate records in line with food safety requirements.
- Work closely with care staff and management to support residents' wellbeing and nutritional needs.
