A bit about us:
Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership (LCRDP) is the Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) for Liverpool City Region. Owned by Liverpool City Council and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, LCRDP leads the promotion of the City Region as a destination to attract visitors.
Working with partners across business, academia, culture and communities, we champion Liverpool City Region as a leading place to live, work, visit, meet, invest and study. The City Region is internationally recognised for its sector expertise, innovation and strong track record of hosting high-impact business events.
Liverpool Convention Bureau, part of LCRDP, leads on attracting national and international conferences, and meetings and events which drive economic growth, profile and deliver long-term legacy for the City Region.
Club Liverpool is the Liverpool City Region’s Conference Ambassador Programme, an established and high-performing model delivered in partnership with Liverpool Convention Bureau and Liverpool Experience Campus, recognised across the UK and Europe.
We are seeking a proactive and well-connected Manager to lead and grow the programme. Working with influential academic, medical and business leader ambassadors across health and life sciences, digital and technology, advanced manufacturing and other priority sectors, you will play a pivotal role in attracting major national and international business events to the Liverpool City Region.
This is a highly visible role for someone who excels at building strategic relationships, delivering results and positioning places on a global stage. You will shape a programme with real influence, recognising the importance of conferences in driving knowledge exchange, skills and innovation, and ensuring they leave a positive and lasting legacy for the Liverpool City Region while strengthening its global reputation for business events.
The role:
As Club Liverpool Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of the Ambassador Programme, ensuring ambassadors are engaged, supported and equipped to secure conferences that deliver long-term value for the Liverpool City Region. You will maintain a strong focus on the region’s core sectors and emerging growth areas, aligning ambassadors with strategically important conference opportunities.
You will build and manage relationships with ambassadors and key stakeholders, oversee programme activity and events, and work closely with the Club Liverpool board, internal teams and partners to strengthen and grow the conference pipeline.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you will champion the ambassador programme, raise its profile nationally and internationally, and support the ambitions of the Destination Management Plan.

- Maintain accurate data and reporting, including pipeline management, impact measurement and submission of qualifying events to support ICCA rankings
- Manage the programme budget and deliver key events, including an annual awards event celebrating ambassador success
