Greenacre Community Nursery School is a Sefton Local Authority Nursery School with resourced provision in Bootle, Merseyside. We offer nursery education for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
We are seeking to appoint an EYFS/SEN Teaching Assistant Level 1 to work with children with Special Educational, social communication and complex needs, across the nursery.
The hours of work are:
8.45am to 3.30pm
You must be:
- we are not looking for someone who isn't necessarily qualified but someone who can demonstate experience of working with children, knowledge of the EYFS, understanding of children with additional needs and also vulnerable pupils.
- It maybe of interest to someone taking a gap year before going to University to do teaching,.
- have fun/enthusiasm/passion for learning and enjoy working with children
- hard working, flexible, committed and reliable
- excellent communication skills
- be well organised and able to use your own iniative
- willing to go the ‘extra mile’ and have a ‘can do’ approach
- nurture and provide an exciting, challenging and stimulating learning environment for our children and are able to adapt to specific learning needs in a fun and caring manner.
- be open to change and develop practice with the needs of the pupils
- committed to the whole school community and be prepared to be actively involved in the life of the school
- we are a small staff team who all work together and support each other
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitiation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
