Regional Convening Lead

Please note that this position is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

Across the Liverpool City Region, people are developing new ways to improve public services and achieve better outcomes for residents. We know that great ideas already exist in our councils, health services, community organisations, policing, fire and wider partnerships. The challenge is helping those ideas travel, grow and become part of everyday practice.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Regional Convening Lead to join the pioneering Office for Public Service Innovation for a 12-month fixed-term role. This is a foundational opportunity to help shape how innovation spreads across one of the UK's most ambitious city regions.

You will work alongside leaders, practitioners and partners to identify effective innovation, build strong relationships, bring people together around shared challenges and help organisations learn from one another. You will help them to create the conditions for learning, collaboration and practical change, ensuring that successful approaches can be embedded and scaled across the City Region. You will also play a key role in delivering priorities agreed by local partners and strengthening our growing communities of practice and learning networks.

About the person

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience of public service innovation, transformation or improvement, excellent relationship-building and facilitation skills, and the ability to turn learning into practical action. Most importantly, you will share our belief that by working together differently, we can improve lives and create better public services for the people of the Liverpool City Region.

Join us and help build a city region that learns together, improves together and delivers lasting change.
