Our Environmental Health service currently has two vacancies for Housing Enforcement Officers. These are new roles responsible for enforcing the provisions of the recently enacted Renter’s Rights Act 2025. The successful applicants will work alongside existing members of the Environmental Health service to ensure that landlords in the borough are complying with their legal requirements.
So, if you are you a motivated enforcement professional with:
• Experience in private sector housing or housing enforcement
• Knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and relevant housing legislation
• Experience in Houses in Multiple Occupation regulation and inspection
• The ability to manage a varied caseload and make sound enforcement decisions
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the Renter’s Rights Act 2025
