Our Team:
We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably skilled Recruitment and Resourcing Officer to join our friendly and supportive team. The team includes a Service Manager, Team Leader and Recruitment & Resourcing Officers who are supported by a Resourcing Assistant, as well as an Agency Contracts Manager who we work closely alongside to provide guidance on the most appropriate resourcing need.
Work is underway to implement a new HR and Payroll system as we also continue to improve our recruitment processes, increase our advertising channels, and improve our employee offering. We are significantly involved in the Council’s ongoing Change management programme and continue to input into that ongoing work.

The roles:
Recruitment and Resourcing Officer – 37 hours (Monday to Friday)
Your Contributions:
As one of our Recruitment and Resourcing Officers, you will:
- Advise on resourcing needs including advertisements and selection methods, prepare recruitment documentation, carry out pre-appointment checks, process DBS checks, respond to queries on T&Cs of employment, and issue contracts.
- Demonstrate competency in the use of electronic document management systems.
- Be experienced working in an administrative environment, ideally Human Resources, together with knowledge, understanding and experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Experience of using electronic recruitment platforms to recruit and onboard new employees is essential.
- Have a sound understanding of pre-employment requirements and an up-to-date working knowledge of employment legislation, applicable to resourcing, recruitment, selection and issuing of employment contracts, including that of schools and Agency Worker legislation.
- Contribute to the social media recruitment strategy, including uploading and maintaining content on our social media channels.

We are pleased to offer a hybrid working approach to this role, with the service currently offering 40% of your working week based in the office in Widnes.
