Quality Contract Management Co-ordinator

  • Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Hybrid Working, Merseyside
  • £55,224 - £56,293 per annum

Knowsley Council is an award-winning Local Authority, named Local Authority of the Year in the Municipal Journal Awards 2024. Come join an organisation that is committed to delivering the best outcomes for its residents.

We are an Accredited employer under the Liverpool City Region Fair Employment Charter, demonstrating that we are committed to the principle of fair employment and we are dedicated to providing a healthy, fair, inclusive and just workplace.

Are you a public sector professional familiar with the demands of effective contract management in the context of the national framework for public procurement?

Do you enjoy challenging old practices and developing better ways of getting things done?

Do you thrive when working in a complex environment in which you are expected to inform, influence and negotiate change?

We are looking for an experienced public sector leader who possesses the skills and experience to develop a consistent and quality assured approach to contract management within our organisation.  This successful candidate will primarily be charged with developing, rolling out and maintaining a local framework for quality contract management.

If you are excited by this challenge, you could be our perfect candidate.  We look forward to hearing from you.

At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working.  For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time hours. The role will involve hybrid working, combining work from home and work in the office.  The balance to be struck will be contingent on the needs of the role but, at the very least, one day a week in the office will be a requirement.  However, in developing and rolling out the quality contract management framework, it is anticipated that the number of days in the office will be greater than that minimum requirement.

We welcome applications from residents and beyond, regardless of background, belief, or identity, recognising the value that diversity brings to our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and candidates with disabilities as we acknowledge their underrepresentation in our workforce.

Please note sponsorship is not available for this role.
