Teaching Assistant - Band F - 32.50 Hours

Newfield Primary Litherland School supports primary pupils across Sefton who have a primary diagnosis of SEMH

We are looking to recruit an experienced level 4 Teaching Assistant to support our pupils to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school in order to achieve their full potential.  A key part of the role is to build positive relationships with both pupils and parents. This is a very exciting role for the sucessful candidate to build on and join our teams in Birkdale and Thornton.  Full training in Team Teach positive behavoural management techniques will be given; this is an essential requirement.

Start date for the post is January 2027; Drivers licence would be a preference for this role.

Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation.  Appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the DBS service.  The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
