Fixed Term/Secondment Position (22 months)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Pool Plus Manager to join our Housing Services team. The role has arisen due to a recent internal secondment. The purpose of the role is to lead, manage and develop the Property Pool Plus Choice Based Lettings Service for Wirral Council, which is operated in conjunction with four other Merseyside Local Authority areas. Alongside managing and developing a team.
We are looking for someone with experience of delivering high quality customer services in a busy environment and who has a proven track record of building and leading on effective partnerships with internal and external agencies across housing and social care sectors. We would welcome candidates who have strong analytical skills, problem solving capability and ability to interpret information and data to make informed decisions.
Key duties daily will be effectively manage a Team of Housing Professionals to ensure that an up to date and accurate housing register is maintained, to ensure that the Council's priority to meet Housing Need is met and that best use is made of available Social Housing, including specialist adapted accommodation.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring performance and quality standards and ensure that Property Pool Plus Wirral scheme complies with policy and procedures and the standards required in the local service level management agreement and in the sub-regional partnership agreement.
You must have extensive practical and theoretical understanding of rehousing services, choice based lettings services, allocations/appeals processes, Government policies and legislation impacting on statutory allocations functions. You will be customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills as well as experienced in managing a team. Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees, residents, and customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.
