Applications are invited for a Chef Supervisor to work for Knowsley Council’s School Meals Service based in Sylvester Academy St John's Rd, Huyton, Liverpool L36 0UX

The Successful Candidate.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to lead a team that provides nutritious freshly prepared school meals to Knowsley pupils and staff.  You will be customer focused and ensure a positive, friendly dining experience.    

Experience working in the food service industry is essential. 

Duties.

Your duties will include day to day supervision of staff, food preparation, presentation and service.  You will be responsible for  ordering provisions, other essential items and stock control . You will also participate in planning themed menu days and meetings with the School Council and Headteacher to promote the service and increase meal uptake.

Hours of Work.

Your contractual hours will be 25 per week, and working times will be agreed with the Contract Manager to suit the school lunch time arrangements (typically you would start at 9am and finish at 2pm Monday to Friday). The post is term time only, but you will be required to work additional cleaning days, attend training courses and if required, cater for school based staff inset days for which you will receive the appropriate remuneration.
