Early Help Assessment Officer

We are looking for an EHAT Assessment Officer to join our Early Help Service for a fixed term position until 31 March 2024 in order torespond to requests for support made to Early Help Hubs by partner’s services/agencies, and promote best practices in arranging team around the family meetings, completion of EHATs, and review processes.

This is a phenomenal opportunity for the right person to join our EHAT support team and make a real difference to the lives of our children, young people and families.

The EHAT Team support all external partners from health, education, therapeutic services and voluntary agencies to complete Early Help assessments by offering both telephone and face to face support. They ensure that lead professionals understand the process and help them to ensure they have the right agencies in place to improve circumstances for children and young people.

As an EHAT assessment officer you will provide skilled support to lead professionals to help them complete and submit assessments and Team Around the Family meeting records and ensure that these records are clearly documented on Liverpool Children’s Services case management system.

Liverpool Early Help utilises a Signs of Safety approach to provide empowering, strength-based interventions to children and families to help address emerging worries and affect positive change to improve the longer-term outcomes of children and young people.

Under the guidance of the EHAT Co-Ordinator you will promote strength-based practice with our partner agencies and quality assure the work completed by external lead professionals to ensure that assessments are child centred, contributing to improved outcomes for children and young people and resulting in clear, SMART outcome focused support plans. 

The successful applicant will be a motivated and skilled individual who has excellent organisation and record keeping skills. They will be committed to helping improve the wellbeing of vulnerable children and families in Liverpool by supporting our partnership to complete good quality early help assessments and team around the family plans. If successful you will join an innovative Early Help service and be supported by a very committed, hardworking and friendly team.
