Project Support Officer
Liverpool City Council is embarking on an exciting transformation programme of unprecedented breadth and scale. As a result, we’re expanding our Transformation Team and we're hiring several Project Support Officers to aid project teams with the administration of projects.
The transformation programme touches on all areas of Council activity. The programme will improve our customer service, influence how we manage our roads, improve how our residents receive care, and much more. Our Project Support Officers work on projects that make a big difference to the people who live and work in Liverpool.
You have the chance to contribute to a new and growing team, and deliver real, tangible improvements throughout the organisation. We are working at the heart of this transformation and there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.
Our roles operate on a hybrid approach to allow flexibility between home working and office working at the Cunard Building. We like staff to be in the office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- You will support a number of exciting and transformational projects to help them seamlessly move from inception to closure
- You will maintain and update project management documentation to ensure the project has a robust paper record, supported by an effective file management system.
- You will play a key role in project communication, producing correspondence, reports and presentations
- You will support the effective management and operation of governance meetings
- You will support the project to manage its finances through processing invoice payments
What You’ll Need:
We’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about supporting change that benefits the people who live and work in Liverpool. You’ll be able to support projects through a range of activities, whether that be in managing risks and issues, processing finances, or in establishing and managing effective governance meetings. You’ll ensure the project has solid foundations through developing and managing good quality project documentation and ensuring information is stored appropriately. You’ll be great at stakeholder management, supporting with the identification and prioritisation of stakeholders, as well as producing excellent communications.
If you would like to talk to a member of the team about the role or have an informal discussion, please contact Emma White, or emma.white2@liverpool.gov.uk
Please note that in accordance with the Council’s policy, employees who are in a formal redeployment situation will be considered in the first instance for all vacancies.
