As Occupational Therapy Team Leader you will lead a dynamic team of Community Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
The OT Service takes a holistic, personalised strength based assessment approach which involves an assessment of function within the home environment with a view to providing our clients with equipment and adaptations. The aim of our Service is to enable our clients to achieve their full potential, improve their quality of life and to overcome barriers in their own home.
To best provide support for our clients, whoever they may be, we’re looking for outstanding people with a flair for putting people at their ease (including customers with sensory or mental impairments) to join our team! The post holder will have ongoing responsibility to empower and/or train other members of staff and this requires specially developed training, developmental, leadership or motivational skills. The job regularly requires advisory, guiding, negotiating and/or persuasive skills-work. The successful candidate will also require excellent organisational, project management and administrative skills. Attention to detail is required.
Individuals will need to establish and maintain effective relationships, to work with internal and external partners, including the voluntary sector, community groups, and health colleagues as well as the general public. A positive and flexible approach is required.
You will need excellent communication skills, knowledge of IT applications as well as experience of meeting targets and welcoming challenges. The post holder should also have experience of working in partnership with clients, families and their carers.
Come and be part of a dynamic team working hard to make OT Services a strong and dynamic team built on fairness and passion to make a difference to someone's life.
If you are driven and highly skilled, we want to hear from you. You can expect an exciting career in a fast paced and encouraging environment.
