Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Coordinator

The Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS) team is looking to fill a full time (35 hour) DoLS coordinator vacancy on a Fixed Term Contract.

DoLS provides a legal framework for service users who lack capacity to be deprived of their liberty in CQC registered care homes and hospitals.  The coordinator plays a key part in processing and triaging referrals, communicating with providers and other professionals as well as service users, families and senior management.

This role will suit someone who is a strong team player has attention to detail  and wants to provide an excellent service. The successful candidate will be joining the team at a challenging time as we prepare for the implementation of the Liberty Protection Safeguards which will replace the DoLS scheme. If you have a desire and ambition to undertake a varied role and you are passionate about Adult Social Care and the protection of service users right to liberty then this job could be for you.

If you would like to talk to a member of the team about the role or have an informal discussion, please contact Nadia Cattell on nadia.cattell@liverpool.gov.uk

Please note that in accordance with the Council’s policy, employees who are in a formal redeployment situation will be considered in the first instance for all vacancies.

We advise you save the job description and person specification on your own device (e.g. laptop, tablet, mobile), as once the closing date has passed they will not be accessible.
