The Combined Authority is led by Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and brings together Liverpool City Region's six local authorities – Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral – to tackle the big issues that matter to us all, together.

Role overview:

The North West Net Zero Hub Team is a group of project development, energy and environmental sector professionals who lead on some of the most exciting and transformational projects across the North West. The Team is based within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority engaging with partners in the North West and Nationwide.

You will play a key part in supporting the activities of the North West Net Zero hub, raising awareness and promoting Net Zero ambitions and outcomes.

Key role and responsibilities:

• Engage regionally to promote the success of the North West Net Zero Hub through a variety of channels
• You will develop capacity for the hub team to create content and share knowledge and training materials including online, videography and image libraries
• Nationally, you will help raise awareness of national funding programmes and collaborate to promote the North West Net Zero ambitions

Required skills and knowledge: 

• You will have excellent communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of effective, contemporary and creative engagement
• Experience of authoring, editing and proofing material for publication
• A commitment to the LCR and wider North West Region and an understanding of its stakeholders
• An ability to demonstrate our core values, including a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
• Experience of contributing to a high-performance culture
