Come and join the Halton Libraries’ team in a key customer facing role, leading our frontline team.
Halton Libraries is a successful library service at the heart of the local community. We deliver key reading, health, learning, information, digital and culture offers including IT support, clubs and activities, access to digital resources and a thriving events programme. We are committed to our core values that deliver a welcoming, inclusive, passionate and innovative service. The role of a Floor Manager is extremely varied and involves supervising our passionate team of Library Information Assistants; collaborating with our Development Team and rolling out new initiatives such as clubs and activities; being our ‘voice’ on social media, helping to spread the word about our service; and ensuring that our buildings are welcoming and vibrant spaces for our local community. We are committed to workforce development and offer our team a range of training opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and energetic person to this role. You will have a passion for libraries, experience of delivering excellent customer service and of reaching out to a wide cross sector of society coupled with an ability to inspire and lead our team of Library Information Assistants. With effective communication skills, you will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team and will have a positive outlook to service development and change. This role will be based at Halton Lea & Runcorn Libraries with some travel to Widnes & Ditton Libraries when and if needed.
