Secondary Trust Education Officer

Are you an inspirational, supportive, and strong leader, with a passion for improving the lives and education of pupils so that all might flourish?

The Liverpool Diocesan Schools Trust is a well-established multi-academy trust that provides education for pupils from 2 – 18 years old across 18 schools. We have 17 primary schools and one secondary across the Diocese of Liverpool, with ambitions for further growth across both sectors. We are also fortunate to have a DfE Behaviour Hub, Attendance Hub and to deliver all NPQs.

Built upon our distinctly Christian values, we have a strong track record of school improvement, as evidenced in recent OFSTED and SIAMs inspections and our outcomes at primary are consistently above national averages. This has been achieved through a strong culture of collaboration, enabling best practice to be shared and talented staff to thrive; an unshakeable expectation for every child to achieve; and a commitment to continuing to develop ourselves and our practices.

LDST is looking for a Secondary Trust Education Officer (STEO) who will be employed to work Trust wide, enhancing the quality of education across all schools, and in particular, ensuring that all students from 11-18, access the highest quality of education that enables them to achieve their potential.

As our Trust Education Officer, you will inspire and bring out the best in staff, have resilience and drive and a proven track record of delivering strong educational outcomes. You will lead on developing our secondary offer through promoting strong bonds of collaboration and forging partnerships with other secondary schools and local feeder primary schools.

Within this role, you will also be based at our Secondary School, St Michael’s High to provide an executive leadership layer which will increase the strategic and collaborative capacity of the school. You will support the school leadership team and staff, through a greater emphasis on coaching, delegation and achieving change through others.  This will enable this school to grow the capacity to be self-sustaining and also to meet the needs of students through an excellent offer making it the school of choice for the locality, where only the highest standards of learning and achievement prevail.

You will be highly attuned to our vision and able to embrace both the values and strengths of the Trust, rising to the challenges of the future, with the drive, ambition and tenacity to provide the highest standard of leadership in order to ensure achievement for all and to secure growth in our Trust.
