Social Worker/AMHP (£2,000pa, pro rata Market Supplement for AMHP)
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Mental Health Team within Adult Social Care for HBC. The team is a busy social work team responsible for supporting adults who live within the borough who have complex and enduring mental health needs.
The team are looking to recruit experienced Social Workers and Approved Mental Health Professionals to work as part of a dynamic and established Community Mental Health Team. You will have the relevant experience in working in high performing teams, being part of that team working towards ensuring that the team are able to achieve meaningful outcomes for the people we support. A successful candidate would have experience and a good level of knowledge of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Mental Health Act 1983, as well as other relevant legislative knowledge. Its is desirable that you are also an Approved Mental Health Professional, or has relevant experience working with The Mental Health Act 1983.
You will have experience of working collaboratively with a range of different services and teams including health, Children’s Services, the Voluntary and Private Sector as well as commissioned service and in house services/teams to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible approach and a willingness to continually improve your practice; in addition, you must hold a full driving licence or have the abilty to travel around the Borough at short notice.
Your role will include the supervision of qualified Social Workers and Community Care Workers.
