Senior Change Manager

Liverpool City Council is embarking on an exciting transformation portfolio of unprecedented breadth and scale. As a result, we’re expanding our Transformation Team and are we’re hiring a Senior Change Manager to work with stakeholders to prepare them for the changes that are taking place.

The transformation portfolio touches on all areas of Council activity. The portfolio will improve our customer service, influence how we manage our roads, improve how our residents receive care, and much more. Our Senior Change Manager will make a big difference not only to staff, but to the people who live and work in Liverpool.

You have the chance to contribute to a new team, and deliver real, tangible improvements throughout the organisation. We are working at the heart of this transformation and it is an exciting time to join our team.

Our roles operate on a hybrid approach to allow flexibility between home working and office working at the Cunard Building.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead on a change strategy for change management activities across the transformation portfolio
  • You will lead on assessing the change impact of programme activity, as well as the change readiness of stakeholders
  • You will co-ordinate a council wide change champion programme
  • You will provide effective reporting to senior managers, political leaders and elected members
  • You will manage a team of change managers who will be working on a range of different projects.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re passionate about delivering change that benefits the people who live and work in Liverpool. Alongside experience of managing and leading complex change programmes, you’ll have a deep understanding of how people go through change and of change management principles, methodologies and tools. You’ll be an excellent planner, and able to problem solve. You’ll be a great communicator and influencer, and be able to clearly articulate messages to a range of stakeholders. You’ll be a highly resilient and tenacious individual, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations.
