Head of Service Operational Developments and Safeguarding Partnerships

We want to recruit an experienced Head of Service Operational Development and Safeguarding Partnerships to join our leadership team to drive, motivate, support and inspire our workforce. You will report to the Director for Practice Improvement and Development and work with the Heads of Service for QA and Improvement, Performance and Systems and Workforce Development and Learning to create a strong system to enable good practice to flourish.

You will have the drive and passion to deliver excellent services and improve outcomes, to ensure a positive difference and brighter future for our children and young people and their families/carers.

The role

  • As a senior leader you will have strategic oversight and leadership of a wide service area, including IRO’s and CP Chairing Service, children and young people rights and participation and wider partnerships.
  • You will have a lead role in the Safeguarding Children Partnership by working with the Independent Scrutineer, so that the partnership remains fully focused on the positive impact for children and young people in in Liverpool.
  • You will be responsible for all service planning, policies and frameworks to ensure progressive development, to deliver a safe and effective service that works with children, families, and partners.
  • You will be strong partnership connector to ensure effective joint working together, leading on the coordination of all serious incidents and rapid reviews.
