Class Teacher – Full Time (EYFS – Year 6 depending on successful candidate) 1 x Temporary and 1 x Permanent positions available depending on passing 6-month probationary period.

Job Requirements:

The Governors of Kew Woods Primary School are seeking to appoint the best teacher available who has the ability, motivation and commitment to assist with the promotion of high standards of teaching and learning.

The person appointed will be committed to promoting high standards of achievement and ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. Candidates should state curriculum strengths and interests.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards within the classroom and in personal conduct
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils
  • Act within, the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012)
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

In accordance with our statutory obligations under Keeping Children Safe in Education Southport Learning Trust is required to conduct an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which Southport Learning Trust might want to explore with you at interview.
