The Financial Management Service monitors and supports the delivery of the Council’s financial strategy and aims to ensure the effective allocation of the Council’s financial resources to deliver the Council’s vision for Knowsley.
The post holder will support the development, implementation and review of financial management processes and will be responsible for maintaining effective and high-quality delivery of a wide range of financial support to clients.
Applicants must be part-qualified in a Professional Accountancy Qualification (preferably CIPFA) and have extensive relevant experience in a finance or accountancy role.
While preference will be given to part-qualified candidates, in exceptional circumstances candidates who can instead demonstrate extensive relevant experience and who are currently enrolled as a student for a CCAB Accountancy qualification may be considered.
