About the role

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Fitter to join our Grounds Maintenance Machinery Workshop Team who maintain & repair the Council fleet of turf care grass cutting machinery including tractors, ride on mowers and small handheld equipment, strimmers, chainsaws etc.

If you enjoy working in this industry and think you have what it takes to be the difference for our staff and residents, then this could be the perfect job for you.

About the candidate.

We are looking for someone who can enjoy and thrive in the role within the organisation.  

You’ll need to be qualified in City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications and have experience working within a large workshop environment.

Your experience should include diagnosis of faults, repair and maintenance of Horticultural plant and equipment.

You will have knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety awareness, requirements & regulations.
