More about this employerCaretaker / Cleaner
Prescot Town Council is seeking to recruit a Caretaker/Cleaner who will provide invaluable support to our day-to-day operations.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Town Clerk, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that council facilities are safe and clean for staff and visitors alike.
Prescot Town Council has ambitious plans to increase footfall through its Town Hall – making it a true community facility within the heart of the town.
We have already attracted community groups and individuals to use our facilities on weekdays, evenings and weekends, but as our ambitions grow, so too does the need to ensure that the building is fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will work alongside our other part-time caretaker; and training necessary for fire alarms, intruder alarms, cleaning equipment etc will be provided.
This position is a part time post with contracted hours at 25 hours per week.
Candidates are reminded that as part of this post, work outside of recognised office hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) will be required.
In addition, weekend work will be required to ensure the Town Hall is prepared for groups or functions using the building. Candidates are encouraged to speak with a member of staff on 0151 426 3933 to discuss expected work patterns before making an application for this position.
Interested candidates are reminded that Prescot Town Council does not accept CVs and that applications forms (please find in the link below) must be returned via email to townclerk@prescot-tc.gov.uk or hand delivered to Prescot Town Hall.
The closing date for applications for this position is 5pm on Friday 24th May 2024, although Prescot Town Council reserves the right to close applications ahead of this deadline if officers feel that an adequate number/standard of applications have been received.
Interviews for short listed candidates will take place within two weeks of this date.
If you are interested in this position and have any questions or would like further information, please call 0151 426 3933 for an informal discussion with the Town Clerk / Deputy Town Clerk.
