Sefton Registration Service, Southport Town Hall

The Registration Service is responsible for the registration of births, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships which take place in Sefton.

Job requirements:

We know that staff are key to the success of the Registration Service, and we are seeking people with ambition, creativity, and commitment to our values to help us achieve the best for our customers.

As a Registrar you will have statutory duties and you will be required to assist and deputise for the Superintendent Registrar at both Southport and Waterloo Register Offices. Relevant experience in Registration Services is desirable. Outstanding attention to detail is also essential, combined with organisational skills and the ability to manage numerous complex legislative processes confidently and effectively. Excellent customer service skills are required and an empathetic and tactful manner with a warm and professional approach to sensitive issue is essential.

Weekend and out of hours working will be required.
