The primary function of the Council’s Environmental Health service is to protect the public, the environment and groups such as consumers, businesses and employees. The Service carries out the main enforcement responsibilities of the Council and delivers a wide range of statutory functions.
The post holder will be responsible for Pest Control targeting known areas of concern throughout the borough, including the treatment of pests, sewer baiting activities, engaging with residents and communities to provide advice and guidance, and taking enforcement action where necessary. In addition, the post holder may be required to assist the wider service, and to supervise other officers, particularly with pest management.
