Seasonal Recycling Officer X7

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated, flexible and committed Recycling Officers.

The role will include collection and emptying of waste and recycling containers, removal of bulky household waste items and engagement with members of the public to secure high levels of recycling and customer satisfaction.

Preferably you will have experience of providing waste and recycling collection services, operating bin lift and compaction equipment on a refuse collection vehicle and responding to customers in a helpful, informative and courteous manner.

The job requires significant amounts of walking, lifting and manoeuvring of waste collection receptacles and an ability to meet high production levels whilst remaining fully compliant with health and safety requirements.

We promote applications from all sections of the community, regardless of background, belief, or identity, recognising the value that diversity brings to our organisation. We particularly welcome applications from individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and candidates with disabilities as we acknowledge their underrepresentation in our workforce.

We will consider requests for flexible working.  For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the specified date should we receive sufficient applicants.

At Knowsley we value our applicants and want them to feel well-informed and welcomed. If you have any questions about this specific job role or what it is like to work at Knowsley, please contact Luke Denson (luke.denson@knowsley.gov.uk / 0151 443 2406)
