Apprentice Teaching Assistant (Early Years) x 2 posts
Qualification – Level 2 Early Years Practitioner
Hours – 30 hours per week
Weeks per Year - Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Fixed term – 16 months
Salary - NMW age dependent (breakdown per age group as below)
- Age under 18 £7,488 per annum (£6.40 per hour)
- Age 18-20 £10,062 per annum (£8.60 per hour)
- Age 21+ £13,385 per annum (£11.44 per hour)
Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career. The programme provides work-based training to those who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.
Farnborough Road Infant School are looking to appoint two motivated and dedicated people to undertake a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship. To work with and supervise individual children and small groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching staff and/or senior leaders, including children with specific individual learning needs. To enable access to learning for all pupils as well as provide assistance and support in classroom management. To assist the class teacher in the planning cycle and the preparation of resources.
Duties include, establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations as part of a key worker role, provide consistent support to all pupils, responding appropriately to individual pupil needs, assist with the development and implementation of SEN Support Plans. Be responsible for keeping and updating records in agreed format with the teacher, contributing to reviews of systems/records as requested and provide clerical/administration support.
This post will be based at Farnborough Road Infant School, Farnborough Road, Birkdale, Southport, Merseyside, PR8 3DF.
