Are you a skilled and professional chauffeur with a passion for serving your community and upholding the highest standards of excellence?

An exciting opportunity awaits you to become the esteemed Lord Mayor's Personal Driver. We are seeking a highly competent, discreet, and courteous individual to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting the city's leadership.

This role is part time at 21 hours per week, the salary will be reflective of this. Allowances will be paid where applicable.

The post is permanent in order to support the Lord Mayor's busy event schedule across the City.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and skilfully operate the Lord Mayor's official vehicle, ensuring adherence to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and impeccable appearance of the official vehicle at all times.
  • Plan efficient routes to navigate through traffic and road closures, ensuring punctuality for scheduled appointments.
  • Be adaptable to a flexible schedule, as the Lord Mayor's responsibilities may require attendance at evening or weekend events.
  • Demonstrate discretion and maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the Lord Mayor's activities.
  • Assist the Lord Mayor with any specific requirements, such as securing the chains, handling documents and providing an event briefing.
  • To provide event support to City Halls when not required for driving / attendant duties.
  • To provide event and building support to City Halls when not required for driving / attendant duties.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a professional chauffeur or executive driver, preferably with experience working with high-profile individuals.
  • A valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Impeccable knowledge of traffic rules and regulations within the city and surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with composure and tact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with the Lord Mayor and other city officials.
  • Neat and presentable appearance, reflecting the professionalism required for the role.
  • Flexibility in working hours and availability to accommodate the Lord Mayor's schedule
