Bus Development Officer
About the Role
Steve Rotheram, the Liverpool City Region’s Metro Mayor has made a promise to deliver a London-style integrated public transport system for the people of our city region. Buses will play a vital role in the delivery of this objective, so now it’s time for us to ‘unleash the bus’, and we need you to ‘hop on board’ to help us in our quest to ‘move buses forward’.
8 out of 10 public transport journeys in our region are made on buses and we must ensure that the customer experience is world class. Working towards that goal means the Bus Team within the Combined Authority needs to grow so that we have the right capacity and skills to deliver at pace.
This is a great opportunity for people with the right skills, expertise, and attitude to join an organisation that is making a difference and delivering transformational change on behalf of the 1.6 million people that live in the Liverpool City Region alongside those that work and spend their leisure time in our City Region.
This is a fixed term 12 month post.
About the person
This is an opportunity to join the team that is responsible for the design and development of the bus network throughout the Liverpool City Region working hard to support the delivery of the ‘Vision for Bus’ as an integral part of the delivery of all aspects of the Bus Offer in the region. The role is fast paced and varied, and no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will be directly responsible for a specific area within the Liverpool City Region and act as a primary point of contact for all key stakeholders in relation to bus networks, infrastructure requirements and planning for disruption on the road network. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking for a development opportunity within the transport industry.
