Knowsley MBC has a vision to make Knowsley a place where people want to live, work, visit and invest. It aims to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of its residents, especially the most vulnerable.
We value our staff and offer a range of benefits, including flexible/hybrid working, pension scheme, learning and development opportunities, employee assistance programme and a generous annual leave allowance.
We are looking for a Project Officer to join our Major Development Team to assist in the delivery of many of the Council’s exciting and ambitious regeneration projects and in particular the delivery of the Long-Term Plan and investment in Kirkby.
Knowsley has an enviable track record for economic growth and major development activity and following a period of growth over the past 10 years is able to point to many successes. There are still many opportunities for Knowsley to seize and our growth journey continues including ambitious redevelopment and growth plans for our town centres. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading on some of the council’s key projects and programmes as part of a dynamic and diverse team, in particular in Kirkby through the Long-Term Plan for Towns funding programme.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and candidates with disabilities as we acknowledge their underrepresentation in our workforce.
We will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the specified date should we receive sufficient applicants.
