Helping to successfully manage large-scale funding in Halton.

The Programmes Office is a relatively newly established team responsible for overseeing the successful delivery and implementation of the Council’s externally funded economic regeneration projects, including Halton Borough Council’s Town Deal Programme and including employment learning and skills projects.

The main purpose of the post will be to support with the monitoring of a range of Halton Borough Council’s externally funded initiatives, e.g. Town Deal, UKSPF, Long Term Plan for Towns. The post will be responsible for supporting the fulfilment of the Council’s Accountable Body role in respect of these multi-million pound programmes. The post will take responsibility for aspects of the close monitoring and evaluation of expenditure, outputs and outcomes at both a programme and a project level reporting into the Combined Authority, DLUHC and DWP, ensuring that HBC is not subject to unnecessary clawback.

Liaising and negotiating on HBC’s behalf with a wide range of external agencies and organisations, including the CA and DLUHC, in respect of the monitoring of large-scale externally funded projects and programmes, thereby contributing to the social and economic regeneration of the borough.
