About the Role
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Engagement Team’s mission is to listen to the voice of the city region’s citizens, which forms an integral part of the policy and decision-making process. The position of Interim Engagement Project Lead offers an exciting opportunity to lead on the design, delivery, and evaluation of a whole host of citizen engagement projects, ranging from policies on themes as diverse as Local Nature Recovery and Bus Reform, to major infrastructure projects, all of which are designed to improve the lives of the 1.6 million people who call the Liverpool City Region home. You will also help to deepen our relationships with citizens, helping to develop and strengthen crucial citizen networks, as well as play an instrumental role in embedding an Engagement First approach to the work of the organisation.
About the person
You will be a pragmatic, solution-focused individual, with an ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, ranging from citizens through to the project teams you will manage. It is essential that an Engagement Project Lead is proactive, has strong interpersonal skills and a citizen centric approach to their work, employing creative and innovative means of harnessing the views of our residents.
The role of an Engagement Project Lead is an exciting one and no two days are the same, so the successful candidate will also be comfortable with managing projects on a diverse range of topics simultaneously. Strong project management skills are also essential, with an ability to clearly define, plan and manage projects throughout the full life cycle, including the allocation of work to members of your project team.
