Team Manager, Environmental Crime Enforcement Team

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and manage the City Council’s environmental enforcement team.

As the successful post holder, you will have a key role in undertaking a wide range of duties across the service, this will include undertaking and supervising a wide range of enforcement duties under the heading of “environmental crime”, to conduct and supervise investigations relating to environmental crime issues and working closely with other enforcement agencies within Liverpool City Council and external partners such as the Police.

Applicants should ideally have an ability to apply legal knowledge to resolve problems and an ability to work with and harness the output from the team and other partners.

As a fast-paced role we will require the post holder to work well under pressure and have the ability to meet strict deadlines. You should have good inter-personal and customer care skills and have experience in dealing with confrontational situations. You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and developing environment where you can have an input into managing change successfully.

The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly that will include weekend working, day and evening shifts and bank holiday working.
