Following an internal promotion and secondment, Runcorn Locality Team are seeking to recruit x2 Early Help Family Worker posts (HBC 6).

 x1 Permanent Part Time (30hrs) post £24,143 - £26,007

 x1 Temporary Full Time (37hrs) for 12 months £29,777 - £32,076

 Many of the young people working with our service have additional needs and successful applicants would benefit from having skills working with neurodiversity and understanding how working approaches may need to be amended to enable young people successfully engage with support strategies.  We would welcome applications from practitioners experienced in SEND, and / or supporting young people affected by their drug & alcohol use.

 We are looking for skilled practitioners who are committed to working with families who have multiple and complex needs. You will have previous experience working with families facing issues such as poor adult and child mental health, child and parental substance misuse, domestic abuse, child exploitation, ASB, housing and financial difficulties. This post is subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure and you must have a thorough knowledge of safeguarding processes.

 The role includes being Lead Professional for Multi Agency Assessment/Support Plans, this includes coordinating services, implementing and reviewing action plans. You will complete direct work with young people and their carers in areas such as positive parenting, behaviour management and family relationships. You will join a proactive team who are passionate in their focus and you will also be working with other professionals to deliver group work and training to parents, carers and young people. We utilise a nurture based approach to our practice.

 In keeping with Halton’s Levels of Need, the Locality service works with families as they step up and down the continuum of support. You will manage an individual caseload and as such be able to prioritise your own workload and meet challenging deadlines. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills. Your case recording using up to date IT systems must be clear, analytical and timely. In return, you will receive regular high quality supervision and support from your supervisor and benefit from the existing knowledge and professionalism of your peers. You will work in a friendly positive environment with opportunities for development.
