Strategic Support Service
Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a Data Analyst to join its Performance and Business Intelligence Team, supporting data analysis and reporting for the Youth Justice Service.
Technical experience and practical ability to analyse and report data using MS Excel, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and Microsoft Power BI, are pre-requisite essentials.
Importantly, we are looking for someone with prior experience of local government Youth Justice Services, desirably data analysis relative to Youth Justice and support for children, young people and families who need additional help to protect children and young people from harm.
You will be required to analyse data from the Council’s ChildView system and other data sources, assist with statutory government returns, produce monthly performance reports and respond to ad-hoc requests for data. Experience of using the Youth Justice Service ChildView system is highly desirable. However, full training can be given. You will also need to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, to work closely with others in children’s social care and early help to help to drive data analysis and performance management.
A degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise, working on high profile priorities as part of a dynamic and supportive professional team.
Sefton Council is committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all sections of the community. Disabled people will be offered an interview where they meet all essential criteria on the person specification.
Closing Date: 28th July 2024
