Midday Welfare Assistant

Job Title: Welfare Assistant (Temporary)

Grade: B SCP 2

Hours: 5 hours per week, term time only

Job Requirements:

To start:  September 2024

The position is for 5 hours per week over 5 days (Monday-Friday)

An opportunity has arisen for a Welfare Assistant to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team and contribute to the health and wellbeing of our children during the lunch break. This position is fixed term until August 2025 (in the first instance) and is linked to SEND funding. 

The successful candidate will need to display the following attributes:

  • An ability to work as part of a team alongside catering, administration and teaching staff
  • A high level of patience and understanding of our children
  • A high vigilance for dietary needs
  • Ability to work alone
  • High levels of common sense
  • Respond quickly to change
  • Administer First Aid
  • Good Sense of Humour
  • A willingness to undertake additional training as requested
  • Be totally committed to the safeguarding of our children
  • An ability to embed positive behaviour management strategies
